Full Time Senior Accountant - Hybrid
Hours & Schedule:
-This is a full-time, salaried position with flexible hours. Specific start and end times will be determined after hire, in collaboration with the manager.

- During the initial training period (first couple of weeks), the employee will be required to work two days per week in the office and the remainder remotely. After training, the role will transition to one required in-office day per week.
This position is responsible for performing accounting functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in support of the various business entities within Pathology Specialists of Arizona, LLP and Clin-Path Associates, P.C. The position reports to the Controller. All employees are responsible for supporting the company’s goals and mission and following all company policies and procedures.
- Participates in maintenance of the general ledger and financial accounting systems.
- Monthly reconciliation and balancing of bank accounts.
- Reconciles deposits and revenue distribution between corporate entities.
- Applies accounting principles to accounts payable and cash control functions.
- Produce and enter monthly journal entries for multiple companies.
- Oversee check printing.
- Manipulates raw financial data to create meaningful operating reports.
- Manages payroll reports and payments for various corporate divisions.
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by properly verifying, preparing and recording transactions.
- Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitors and reports variances in financial positions.
- The job may entail occasional additional hours during the work week
- Generates custom spreadsheets and analysis as requested to enhance standard financial reporting.
- Participates in accounts payable processes.
- Participates in the generation of monthly financial statements.
- Participates in monthly and annual closing processes.
- Assists with pension plan maintenance, distribution, and regulatory compliance.
- Assists with benefit support functions.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Organization, time management, coordination, and research.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, with a minimum of 3–4 years of relevant industry experience. Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and standard office equipment, including calculator, scanner, and printer
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Experience with ERP accounting systems required; NetSuite experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, diverse priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and work autonomously
- Willingness to work additional hours during the work week as required
